Sorry CLSU, i was wrong at all : Don't judge a book by its cover!

CLSU is so far from Manila. It takes around 4 hours by a car. At first, i thought that there would not any malls or an instagramable place around here. Besides that, this campus is old already. I only can see a lot of trees on the side of the street. Could i survive here for 28 days?:(

On August, 22nd we had our orientation day and university tour. The orientation was located in Guest Hotel CLSU. Maam Hlyasmin delivered the topic about Philippines Culture. It’s what im waiting for because we can know how to adapt here. Even Indonesia and Philippines is in the same root, Malay root but ofcourse there’re some differences culture that we have to face.

Beside that, she taught us some Tagalog Language. I felt so excited because I could enrich my language and maybe talking to Filipino with Tagalog Language. Don’t you feel curious about those words? Here we go…

In the middle of the event, Ate gave us food and drink as well. Eventhough I had have my breakfast, but still I ate those food because it’s our merienda. For your information, Filipino eat 5 times in a day; breakfast, lunch, dinner, and they often eat in mid-morning also in mid-afternoon. Then we called it merienda. So you will be energic along your day.

University Tour
We’re going to Biology Centrum, Biodiversity Museum, Rm. Cares Laboratory, and Small Ruminant Center.

In Biology Centrum, the staff told us that CLSU have developing many technologies in Agricultural and produces food such as rice, fertilizer, seed, etc

In SRC, we tasted goat’s milk ice cream. There’re many flavors such as tiramisu, cookies and cream, chocolate, etc. The slogan for this product is unique “If you want it, GOAT for it!”. And it costs 25 peso, I could say it’s pretty cheap. Talking about ice cream, they also produce Tilapia ice cream. It’s from Tilapia Fish. CLSU could produce so many products and it might be their income as well. Im so amazed!

After going around CLSU, I was pretty sure that the concept of this campus is similar with IPB because the concern is in Agricultural as well. My first thought about CLSU was totally wrong at all. Eventhough this campus is old already but it's really huge and beautiful. I could feel the kindness of nature.
